Listed below are links to weblogs that reference Media as Connectors of Ideas and People:

I've always taken McCluhan's saw with a grain of sand. Sure, the medium is super cool, that may get people through the door. But they stay in the seats (or come back for more) because the content is good. Valeria's closing remark about the most powerful content being people themselves--heavy. The boundaries between audience and experience have never been blurrier. Exciting times.

Mario -- thank you for your kind words. I still believe there is validity in providing a loose structure and a skilled facilitator to focus the conversation. Just like in blogs.

Mark -- very interesting. For those of you who are not familiar with McLuhan, you can check out a biography here http://www.marshallmcluhan.com/marchand.html.

Marshall McLuhan is still right. Even an independent blog medium IS the message... but with a more independent filtering system.
