There is a new format to online conversations. Mark Goren of Transmission Content + Creative and I called it Ask(?)Away. When it comes to communicating with each other, we're all super achievers. After all, we are self publishers. Our desire to have conversations has us Twitter (I can't believe I just wrote that), chat, email and post -- all at the same time.
And we can keep those conversations going and mostly straight. Then we integrate comments with our own thinking and we keep evolving both. So Mark and I thought of launching a way to publish those conversations in a slightly edited format on different blogs. We took a crack at it and many of you shared a voice in the topic of storytelling in marketing at Conversation Agent.
Our series of emails exchanged over a few days, became the basis of our conversation on the topic on my blog. We touched upon:
- storytelling as brand building
- measurement and feedback
- long term relationships vs. short term results
- doing and trying new things
I used my desktop publishing skills (I'm an Adobe InDesign user) and created a PDF of the dialogue -- to make it portable. You may download the file Download ask_away_with_mark_goren.pdf. This is the first time I try this feature on Typepad so I'll keep my fingers crossed that it works.

Nice work, Valeria. Thanks for everything!

Brava Valeria! Tutto bene nell'filo che ho ricievuto. Non sapevi che potevo parlare in Italiano (senza usare un vocabolario!)
Not sure about all of my spelling there. I know that Italian is written as it sounds but then when I say it I'm not sure it still sounds correct. It has been 20+ years since I was there in Sicilia on my 2 year mission.
The PDF format for the extended conversation is a great idea. While people can go search the files they may not. This way you can highlight special threads and make them usable in a meeting situation. It's like I say about maps - they must be usable to be useful. Your layout adds to the value.
Ciao

Mark -- it has been a fun and useful experience, I learned a lot from the discussion.
Roger -- incredibile. Now my Italian readers are really making themselves known here. I'm impressed, more than twenty years, you say. That's pretty good.
