SEE!! I asked last week what would you do if Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn disappeared over night... and Mike Billeter suggested it would be a "social mediapocalypse." Well, I wasn't far off, was I?! ;-)

I love #1 (and #5, heh). I have to say I got a bunch of work done and was happy Twitter was offline for a bit. That said, I was also suffering from a bit of withdrawal. ;-)

Now for that #Kaizenbeer...

Have a great weekend Valeria!

Pushan

I was actually worried a bit yesterday.

Not so much that I couldn't share random thoughts during the day or otherwise continue to voice my unhappiness with this cash for clunkers, broken window, failure, but that I recognized I've come to know quite a few really good people through Twitter and some, it seems, only participate through that medium.

Most of the people with whom I engage have their own sites and I'm likely already subscribed to their feeds, but it sure would be nice if someone came up with an app that, instead of promising eleventy-billion followers a day by DM, actually backed up a list of people you follow and their profiles, so you could contact them no matter what.

In the meantime, I think I'll see about reminding people that, even if they don't have their own website, using the URL field in their bio to tell others where they can be found online, away from Twitter, could be a good way to strengthen those connections.

The only thing I really missed when Twitter was down was #Kaizenblog. I'd just about finished my early twitter fix at 6am when the stream stopped.

In order to not get totally consumed by Twitter#Chats, I am selecting 3 /week :-) #Blogchat, #Kaizenblog as these address my current interest (obsession) of blogging, and one other to vary. So I was REALLY geared up to go when I sighed into #Kaizenblog :-) love it and find it very helpful. @CASUDI

Thank you all for the great comments! I confess I also thought that it would be neat to have conversations back at blogs - longer form comments, answering each other's comments (Beth does that very well), expanding the thinking (Brian is a master at that). The post by Brandon was hilarious, thank you for sharing! DJ, Pushan, Joe, good of you joining in the fun. Caroline, so sorry we missed the chat.

Oh my -- I just HAD to add "social mediapocalypse" to the Marketing Addictionary! (http://words.marketingprofs.com)
