In addition to his work and numerous contributions to the community, John shared several thoughtful remarks in the About You page, so we're taking this opportunity to get to know him a little better.
Why are you online?
John: To learn, share and connect.
I am a huge believer in the power of asking for help, and to me the internet represents the most powerful way imaginable to meet smart, interesting and creative people who can help me improve my business and my life, and a place where I can offer help to others as well.
What prompted to post in "About You" at Conversation Agent?
John: I track about 50 blogs in a casual way, but am addicted to just a key handful, one of which is Conversation Agent. Because I find the postings on this site so relevant, I figured that I likely had a good deal in common with other Conversation Agent evangelists, so I posted in the “About You” in hopes of meeting some cool new friends.
What are you working on that you feel will connect ideas and people?
John: I have just written a new book, Awesomely Simple: Essential Business Strategies for Turning Ideas into Action – and have built an incredibly robust (and free) companion website to help people apply the ideas in the book.
There are two main reasons we created this site; the fist is to give people tons of tools, ideas, information and resources for helping them run a much more successful business. It took me 15 years and about 3,000 books to develop the concepts in the book and I wanted to be sure that people had everything they needed to take the very best ideas and put them into action in their organization right away.
The second goal is to create a place for business owners, entrepreneurs, managers and business thinkers to share ideas and help each other, a place where we can create a “conversation” around business excellence and leadership effectiveness.
Who would you like to connect with?
John: Anyone who is interested in, or needs help with, running a highly successful organization. Whether it is a senior leader from the Fortune 500, a middle manager in a small business, the sole proprietor from a brand new start-up, or other consultants…
I am eager to expand my network of people who are jazzed about business and love to learn.
