Fantastic interview, Valeria - Ed is one of the smartest and most emerging media-savvy guys around (not to mention a brilliant PR and comms guy). No wonder Mullen is such a creative agency - I don't think there are any duds there whatsoever.

Takeaway: "Passion. You can’t tell anyone what to do; you have to get them excited. Show them the possibilities. Make them feel part of something new and excited. That’s what I try and do, leading by example. Although I'm not opposed to using a little bit of fear, too, by reminding people that they’ll become obsolete if they don’t get with it."

Brilliant.

Passion isn't something that you instill in someone, but it IS something you can inspire in someone! Great post!

Diego

Well...that word "passion" captured my attention too, since I too feel that passion is the key for many things! Thanks for this interview Valeria!

@Danny - it was good learning more about Mullen as well. Before I started reading Ed's blog, I did not know much about the agency. One of the reasons why I love this series is that it humanizes a business that is starting to become even more interesting.

@Canamgirl - thank you for stopping by.

@Diego - good hearing from you. Hope all is well in your world.

Thanks for posing such great questions, Valeria! Edward's answers were very valuable and insightful for someone like me who works at a PR agency. One of my clients is Panera Bread of the Great Lakes Region, so I've seen firsthand how Mullen has helped launch Panera's social media efforts. I hope you do similar interviews in the future!
