Hmm. I disagree that timing has to be of the essence on your blog. You're not a breaking news agency. That's what the TechCrunches, Techmemes, and Mashables of the world are for.

Timeliness shouldn't matter so long as you're adding value to the subject matter. A unique spin. Insight only YOU can add.

You can always generate a traffic spike by being timely, it's the long tail that proves that your insight is really valuable.
