Great post Valeria…more than that, your earlier articles and the links included in this post provide an excellent overview of what it might look like to build and manage an online community “hub”. I’ve recently become the go-to guy for an established and successful print media company who desire to mirror their authority and influence to an online platform. This, to be accomplished in such a way as to shore up and not damage what’s been established in their more tangible and recognized product.

Long story short, you’ve written quite a bit about this process and it has helped on several occasions to confirm my thinking and aspirations. From where I sit this is very valuable to me! I just wanted to lend my voice today to say that the way you have explained and interwoven everything together provides some very clear and actionable insight for anyone who seeks to accomplish what you describe.

Your style has also helped me to remain mindful of the PR aspects involved with what I do…not having come from that world, I appreciate the beacon. So thanks Valeria, for the skill and experience you so freely give here on Conversation Agent!

Thank you for taking the time to read and comment, James. I've written about how print media companies have migrated to the Web without really moving in, if you're interested. Usually I post those kinds of topics on Sundays, although in recent months I've been focusing more on the PR side of things, as you astutely observed.

The hard part is doing the analysis for your situation, setting things up and doing the work. Perhaps the conversations I had with new media editors (see sidebar) can provide additional insights.

Some weeks ago I reached your blog by getting to an old post of yours on social networking. It's been fun going through the myriad of insights into this world.

I love coming back to your posts about content and context strategy. Even though it may not show on my own blog, your advice and posts are always in the back of my head.
