Great post on content strategy and you're right: the #1 reason is most people don't have one. They write something and hope it sticks. Thanks for those wonderful tips!

... and not just for content.

This is terrific (as usual!). Very comprehensive. Thanks Valeria. Hope you're well! Best wishes from Down Under.

Hi Valeria,

Firstly, great blog. Found it today and I'm enjoying your insights.

I see a lot of companies who are guilty of #4 in my daily work. Too many times has a piece of content been written by people who don't fully understand what they're writing..

Cheers,

Valeria,
I have to agree with many of the points you made in the blog. I believe that content should be written by writers since they have the practice and technique to do so correctly. I also believe that marketing is a fine art that needs to be constantly improved and revised. What is effective now is not necessarily what will work in a few months or so. Its just better to always revisit, update and revise the marketing strategy that is being used. What would you recommend for bloggers to increase traffic to their sites aside from being reliable?

Valeria Maltoni

Good hearing from you, Anne. Hope all is well Down Under ;-)

There is often a lot of pressure to publish and little time to plan. That point alone is probably why many organizations tend to want to hire people who have worked in the industry for years. However, I have found that great communicators are amazing interpreters. They work hard at understanding what makes a business and reflecting that in the way the business speaks and connect with the market.

Isn't that true of every discipline, though? In fact, we could say that of life, constantly evolving. Becoming attractive ;-)
