« Feed Sponsor: Quantifying Quality | Main | How Facebook Will Steal Your Customers »

I continue to be surprised by marketers who just focus on the promotion side of things. Easy to use and buy is good. I love that the story is built right into the product with Threadless.

Success all begins with the product and if you're product's incredible and you connect / care about your customers - and they sense that, your marketing gets that much easier. Conversely, put a bad product out there and you have to work REALLY hard to sell it, let alone get people to come back.

I think the other point to note in the above is that making your product awesome AND simple to use/buy is key.
