Codex to mobile via Guardian traffic data analysis
The iPhone dominated the overall mobile traffic to the Guardian website in October 2010. Fast forward two years, and what did they find? The full impact of the Apple expansion into mobile becomes clear. The iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch now account for the best part of three quarters of all Guardian mobile traffic.
Two years ago, mobile traffic was less than a quarter of what it is today. They now serve roughly 3.3 million pages on mobile devices each day, not including views of their iPad app.

The futurists at the National Intelligence Council forecast what the globe will be like in two decades. The idea is to give some long-term, strategic guidance to the teams that are shaping America’s security and economic policies. On Monday, the Council released its newest findings. Many of the prognostications are around: rising tides, a bigger data cloud, an aging population, and more drones. But tucked into the predictable predictions are some rather eye-opening assertions.
